ARTIST STATEMENT

My practice explores the unpredictable terrain of becoming alongside and the the unstable medium of color. I am drawn to the psychological space where perception, memory, and emotion shape our realities while contradictions coexist in a state of constant motion. This inquiry resists fixed narratives and instead embraces multiplicity as a generative condition.

I live and work in Detroit, Michigan where I run Angel Park Press - an independent Art Press + Print Studio.

Color Memory Cards 🎨 I created these color field studies as a part of my summer research project on personal systems of color. I’ve been thinking a lot about how color can be a container for memories. These palettes represent specific moments
